German Fire-Fighters at Work

On the night of the 5th January 2015 in Leverkusen Germany a fire started at a furniture shop with appartments above.The Fire-Fighters where called at 3.15 in the night.When they arrived at the House the fire was fully developed.Because one person was missing a crew of firemen went in to the house.Sadly a flashover happened and 8 firerescuers where injured.One with live threatening injuries.5 where hospitalized.Also two residents where injured.Last information is,that all of them survived.Unfortunately for the firemen,the missing person was on a vacation. About 100 firemen fought on the scene.Both professionals and volunters. I have a deep respect for this men and women for putting their life at risk for strangers.
