A.Liberman- What we see today is not a model that suits us. That is, we already have very bad example of North Korea. On the other hand, we have the successful model of the disarmament of Syrian (chemical weapons). And we say: why not apply the same model used for Syria against Iran? What is the essence of the Syrian model? All chemical units, materials, all chemical weapons were exported outside of Syria and were destroyed. Similarly, the whole infrastructure of chemical weapons production was destroyed. What is happening in Iran - they only want to trade on the number of centrifuges: 6000, 8000, 9000. They will leave the enriched uranium inside Iran. And Iran therefore becomes a "threshold country", which at any moment, when it wants, will begin to boost production of a nuclear bomb. We believe that this is a very wrong approach, as in the example of North Korea, so we insist on the Syrian model. A.Venediktov- And you said this to Sergey Lavrov? A.Liberman- See, unfortunately, the whole group of States "five plus one" (the five permanent UN Security Council members Russia, the US, China, Britain, France plus Germany) are viewing it the other way round. And we are closely monitoring. From our point of view, all options are open, all options are on the table. And we will act in accordance with their own interests. A.Venediktov- In this regard, an important question here is how is the military-technical cooperation with Russia. Until a few years ago discussed drones, delivery and so on. Now this story is suppressed? A.Liberman- You know, we have, in general, always military-technical cooperation was at a minimum level ... A.Venediktov- Well, in many ways. A.Liberman- In general, at a minimum. And we focused on certain priority topics, such as agriculture, water resources, and more. And in general, trade relations with Russia are very good. The conflict between Jews and Arabs originated in the early 20th century. When the first settlers came from the former Russian Empire arrived to what was then Palestine there were no such terms: a Palestinian state or the Palestinian people. But friction immediately begun. This lasted until the proclamation of the State of Israel, when we were invaded by all the Arab countries, the armies of the Arab countries inside the newly created Jewish state. No Palestinian army is the army of Iraq, Egypt, Jordan and others. And our main problem - this is the Jewish-Arab conflict, which has three components, three components: conflict with the Arab states, the Israeli Arabs and the Palestinians. And we need to solve this complex problem. From my point of view, our main interest is the establishment of full diplomatic relations with the in my opinion more moderated Arab states, such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and others. We already have diplomatic relations with Egypt and Jordan. If we add the number of moderate Arab states, I think that this will form a completely new Middle East. That is, our technology, our knowledge plus their financial resources on the one hand; our experience in the fight against terror, our intelligence - all this together in a complex creates an entirely different situation. Again, the Arab countries may affect the group of non-aligned states, which for us is a major problem in the international arena. Then we would have win-win situation, where all of us will benefit.
