Have-a-go hero Mark Guess tried to defend his jewellers from the masked scooter gang that plundered up to lb50,000 of watches and a lb15,000 diamond ring. The father-of-two bided his time until the armed pair left his store and struck one of them with his bat as they fled on their scooter, on Monday. Mark, 41, said he saw red and was trying to protect his business, in Whitton, West London.
